How JSON Schema Validator works

JSON Schema describes the expected shape and constraints of a JSON document. It can require properties, restrict types, validate patterns, and define nested arrays or objects.

The browser parses both documents and compiles the schema with a bundled validator. The data is checked against the compiled rules, and validation errors identify the affected paths and failed constraints.

A valid schema result confirms only the rules expressed in that schema. It does not guarantee business correctness or security, and behavior can differ between schema drafts and validator options. Use the same draft as your production system.
