How Markdown Previewer works

Markdown uses lightweight punctuation for headings, links, lists, emphasis, code, and other document structure. A preview lets you compare the editable source with its rendered HTML appearance before publishing it.

The browser passes the Markdown text through a bundled parser and displays the generated HTML locally. Updates can be reviewed without creating a file, signing in, or sending draft content to a remote renderer.

Markdown flavors differ in tables, task lists, footnotes, and raw HTML support. Confirm the final result in the platform where it will be published, and sanitize untrusted HTML before inserting generated markup into an application.
